Open FTX Central, go to settings, and force re-migration. I recently ran into the exact same issue, couldn't fly anwhere as half an hour into the flight the scenery had just stopped loading.įirst ensure you have the latest ORBX libraries installed. If this is a recent issue that you have started experiencing, without changing much settings, i'd suggest looking into the ORBX Migration issue that has been widely discussed over the past few months. Specs: intel i7 5820, 32 gb ram, Nvida gtx 1070, windows 10 I have been lately receiving blurry textures with my scenery I run p3d 3.4 (latest version) I will post a picture of how p3d used to look like and how it looks like now Hope this helps, let us know about your experiences. You will find a lot of proper solutions here in the ORBX forum, and I would try it out, because in many cases your basic settings are in balance but there are only some minor issues depending on some (wrong) addon settings or (wrong) installations.īut in my case, my blurries were gone after getting my system in balance. Seriously: If you have a fast system, you maybe have 200 frames but blurry textures with almost no autogen when it's not in balance, okay? But this maybe means you will have endless power, but not AT THE SAME TIME. You can own a 12,5 Ghz overclocked ( ) that fires 400 frames/ second. To me, no matter how fast your system is: It is significant how you MANAGE THIS SPEED with your different PCs components. I finally locked the nVIDIA frames at 29,7 to compensate the deviation and that finally synchronised my data transfers in my system. Hard to explain (especially in English to me), but locking the frames at 30, 60 or 90 frames in flightsim by 30 frames in the nVIDIA settings simultaneously, helped a lot to battle the blurry textures.ĪTTENTION: Because you always have a little deviation in flightsims data transmission, I had to do some vernier adjustments in the nVIDIA frame settings - means:ģ0 / 60 / 90 locked in flightsim and 30 locked in nVIDIA - also always blurry textures. Important: I found out also using the "vertical sync" refresh rate in nVIDIA at 1/2 supports a smooth data transfer in my system and solve the tearing by following next steps. I got the solution by hazard, because I searched for an answer because of the annoying tearing (always getting a strange horizontal "line" in the monitors centre). It's even harder to find out that on my system textures started to get clean by locking BOTH:Īs mentioned above, I tried to adjust the frames / frame limititions exactly in taking accound of the monitors frequency. Yes, that's hard, even this is can vary from system to system what's been to locked. locking the frames INSIDE the flightsim by unlimited frames in the nVIDIA settingsĭo the job. locking the frames in the nVIDIA settings by unlimited frames INSIDE the flightsim In my case, even the monitors frequency has been part of the solution - it's a 60Hz frequency and - sure, I also didn't believe - it is recommended to strictly keep an eye on the frames that seem to be exactly synchronised with this frequency. The final solution to me was a hard and detailed (and time consuming) setting adjustment between my FSX.cfg settings and the nVIDIA settings.īy investigations in the net I found out that a stable and proper loading of the textures depends on the flow of the datas between CPU and GPU. The reason for this is that EACH system has a lot of individual settings - between processor, graphics card and its drivers as well. I followed each hint (and believe me, there are tons of it around), but none of them did help. You will find some promising solution approaches regarding installation of ORBX, its behaviour while interaction with other addons but mainly - in my case - while interaction with your system.īy using several months to get out what's wrong with that shabby blurry textures, I come to the conclusion that most blurry texture appearances arise from WRONG SYSTEM settings depending on the respective user PC system (independend of the processors power). This depends on so many different reasons, that you have to find the solution by your own finally.įirst of all, please have an extensive search inside this ORBX forum. It is not possible to give you the one and only answer to solve the blurry texture issue.
